all 3d images created in Maya

3d environment:


These images were created for the introductory class in Maya that I took. I eventually found that I enjoyed the texturing and lighting aspects of the work much more than the modeling.

As you can see from the one ray-traced image in the set (upper right corner) I made my surfaces a bit too shiny. Still I like the cloth texture below, and later on got more into displacement maps, fascinated by the way differences in value could be adjusted to actually deformed the terrain of the 3D object.
