These were two figure studies done for a class called Drawing for media.

The one on the left is colored pencil. You can see the yellow is the original layout, and the blue the more finished overlay. Similarly, the brown inks on the right have a non-photo blue pencil for the contour layout, with the ink laid out on top.

Working on figure studies in ink was an invaluable process, as it forced me to trust my instincts and not be afraid of making small mistakes.
