After years of wretched self-esteem, I engaged in some vanity shots after a friend bought me a haircut for my 25th birthday and went out of my way to give myself a glamorous look when I dropped the photos into Photoshop.

My eyes are bluer here, my lips redder, and my blemishes non-existent, a bit more glamorous than real life. It was fun to figure out how to do, and I have done it for several friends since.
